Terms of use
The rules for using this site. In short: the procedures are free general information, and you follow them at your own discretion.
Last updated
These terms apply to your use of PC Fieldbook at https://pcfieldbook.info (the “site”), published by Fieldbook Media, Leeds, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What the site is
The site publishes free, general information about using and troubleshooting home computers. It is not a support, repair or consultancy service, and using it does not create any customer, client or professional relationship between you and us. We do not sell anything on the site.
Using the procedures
- Procedures describe general steps that work on most Windows PCs. Your PC, software versions and settings may differ.
- Some steps change system settings, uninstall software or restart your computer. Read each step, including any Caution or Warning, before you carry it out, and back up important files first.
- If a computer belongs to your employer or school, follow its IT rules and ask its IT staff before changing anything.
- For problems with a specific product, account or subscription, the manufacturer’s official support is the authoritative source.
You decide whether to follow a procedure, and you do so at your own risk. See also our disclaimer.
No warranties
We work to keep procedures accurate and up to date, but the site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness or suitability of the content, or that the site will be available without interruption or errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from following any procedure, including loss of data, loss of income, or damage to hardware or software. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or, where applicable, for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
