Advertising disclosure
How PC Fieldbook is paid for, and how advertising does and does not affect it.
Last updated
No ads, affiliates or sponsors on our pages
PC Fieldbook does not show third-party advertising, does not use affiliate links, and does not publish sponsored or paid content. No company has paid to appear in a procedure, a comparison or a plan explainer, and we do not earn commission when you buy anything we mention.
We may advertise the site
The publisher, Fieldbook Media, may pay for search ads on Google so that people searching for help with a PC problem can find our free procedures. Those ads:
- describe the site as a free, independent manual of procedures;
- never include a phone number or offer support, repair or remote access;
- never suggest that we are Microsoft, McAfee, Norton or any other company;
- always lead to the same page every visitor sees, with no redirects.
How ad measurement works, and how to opt out of it, is explained in our privacy policy and cookie policy.
If you see an ad that misuses our name
If you see an ad, pop-up or message that uses the PC Fieldbook name and offers paid help or a phone number, it is not from us. Please email hello@pcfieldbook.info with a screenshot and the address it led to.
